Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Aug. 23 (UPI) -- An Idaho man walked more than 2 miles while balancing a baseball bat on his chin to earn a Guinness World Record. David Rush, who has broken more than 200 Guinness records to promote STEM education, took on the record at a local track in Boise. Advertisement Rush balanced the bat on his chin and walked around the track for about 41 minutes, 30 seconds, achieving a total distance of 2.236 miles. That was enough to beat the goal of 1.86 miles set by Guinness. Rush said he managed to navigate the track by having his wife, Jennifer, shout out instructions when he wandered out of his lane.
