June 24 (UPI) -- A California truck driver found his route through Florida to be lucky when it led to his winning a $1 million Powerball jackpot.

Quang Vo, 59, of El Monte, told Florida Lottery officials he frequently buys lottery tickets on his route.

"I try to buy a lottery ticket in every state I pass through when I'm on the road," Vo said. "You never know when you could be a winner!"

Vo's strategy paid off when a Powerball ticket he bought from the Ocala Stopping Center in Reddick matched all five of the white ball numbers, missing only the Powerball number. The ticket earned him a $1 million prize.
