Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Employees at a motorcycle dealership in England captured an emu spotted running loose in a busy road and the bird will now be returned to its owner.

Fareham Police said the emu was taken into custody after running loose on the A32, near Wickham Road in Fareham, England.

The emu was captured by Drew Lee, 23, an employee at nearby motorcycle dealership Destination Triumph Solent.

"My boss came running into the shop saying 'you're not going to believe this but there's an emu on the road outside,'" Lee told the Daily Echo.

Lee led the emu back to the business and held the bird until police arrived.

Police said the bird, nicknamed Dave by officers, was taken to the Birdworld sanctuary in Farnham. The sanctuary said the emu's owner has been in touch with officials and the bird will soon be headed home.
