Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Animal rescuers in North Carolina said they had to partially disassemble the dashboard of a car to rescue a pet boa constrictor that slithered up into the vehicle's inner workings.
Stanly County Animal Protective Services said officers were dispatched this week when a resident reported a pet boa constructor had slithered into dashboard of their car.
The officers partially disassembled the inside of the vehicle, including removing the glove compartment, so the snake could be safely removed.
"The snake was removed unharmed, and he is back at home," animal protective services said.
