Jan. 22 (UPI) -- A Kentucky woman said she used part of her $50 lottery prize to splurge on a $30 scratch-off ticket that earned her a $100,000 jackpot.

The Scottsville woman told Kentucky Lottery officials she was feeling lucky after winning $50 from the lottery, so she decided to spend some of the money on a $30 Gold Rush scratch-off ticket from Jr Foods in Bowling Green.

The woman later scratched the ticket off and discovered her lucky streak had brought her a $100,000 jackpot.

"I can't believe I left the ticket in my purse in the locked car. I had no idea it was a winner at the time," she said. "I went blank. This couldn't be real."

The winner said she has no immediate plans for her windfall.

"I'm going to try to act like it's not there," she said.
