Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin shared a video showing how he celebrated his 91st birthday by blowing out 91 candles atop a cake.

Aldrin, whose birthday was Wednesday, tweeted a video Thursday showing how he celebrated with a cake and 91 lit candles, which the second man to walk on the moon blew out with multiple breaths.

The video features Aldrin's partner, Anca Faur, wishing him Happy Birthday.

"When Alan Shepard said, 'Let's light this candle' I'm sure he never envisioned 91 of them," Aldrin tweeted, referencing the first U.S. astronaut to travel into space. "Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday and to my Anca for making the day so special."
