Dec. 3 (UPI) -- An Australian man who won a top prize of more than $400,000 from a lottery drawing said it came seven years to the day after he missed the jackpot by a single number.
Lotterywest said the Landsdale man matched all six numbers in the Saturday Lotto with the ticket he purchased from Darch Plaza Newsagency.
The man collected a Division One prize of more than $400,000. He said he narrowly missed a previous Division One prize.
"Seven years ago to the day I had five numbers with the sixth number on the line above," the winner said.
The man told Lotterywest officials the prize is "lifechanging" but he doesn't plan to quit his work mentoring children.
