Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Police in Wales said a busy highway was shut down for a time Monday to protect a wayward cow wandered into traffic.
North Wales Police tweeted Monday the A33 North Wales Expressway was closed shortly before noon between the J28 and J29 interchanges when a cow wandered into the area.
The department said the road was later reopened when the cow was successfully relocated.
"GOOD MOOS: We are pleased to report the cow in distress next to the #A55 at #Rhuallt has been moved to safety," police tweeted. "We had to close the road to ensure a happy ending -- thank you for your patience if you were stuck in the queues -- things are now mooving again!"
