Florida man parks Smart Car in kitchen to protect it from Dorian

Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A Florida couple concerned their Smart Car might blow away in Hurricane Dorian's winds found the perfect place to store the vehicle -- their kitchen.

Patrick Eldridge parked the small vehicle in the kitchen of the Jacksonville couple's home because he was concerned it might blow away in the hurricane and there was no room left in their garage.

Eldridge's wife, Jessica, posted photos of the unusual parking space to Facebook.

The woman wrote she was concerned the car would not fit through their kitchen's double doors, but Eldridge was able to pull off the unusual parking job.
