Alligator takes a swim in backyard pool during Dorian

Sept. 5 (UPI) -- An alligator in Florida celebrated the passing of Hurricane Dorian by taking a swim in a resident's backyard swimming pool.

Angelique Micallef-Courts said she spotted the alligator in the pool behind her Altamonte Springs pool while Dorian was making its way up the Florida coast Wednesday morning.

"Looks like Dorian blew a gator into my swimming pool," Micallef-Courts says in the video she took of the swimming reptile.

She said the alligator was still lounging in the water into the afternoon.
