Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Police in Texas said one of two zebras that escaped from a ranch was safely captured while running loose in the streets, but the second African equine remains missing.
The New Braunfels Police Department posted a video to Facebook showing police pursuing a loose zebra through the streets of the city.
Police said a helicopter team specializing in animal capture was tracking the zebra from the air, and the animal was tranquilized and returned to its owner's ranch about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.
A second zebra that escaped at the same time remained on the loose and had not been located, police said.
The zebras are believed to have escaped from the ranch by swimming across the Guadalupe River.
