Couple gift $100 to each worker at Texas fast food eatery

Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Employees at a Texas fast food restaurant received a special $100 Christmas bonus courtesy of a couple of anonymous diners.

Randy Duncan, general manager of the Bush's Chicken in Georgetown, said a couple dining at the eatery asked him how many employees worked at the store and he told them 25.

He said the pair returned moments later with 25 Christmas cards that each contained a $100 bill.

"I've been before where I've had one individual get a big tip like that, but not for an entire store," Duncan told KEYE-TV.

Employees said they were shocked and overwhelmed by the generous gift.

"I wanted to cry, but I was like, 'I can't do that right now. I'm at work, I'll cry when I get home," said Makayla Cook. "There's still good people out there that help people."

A YouTuber made headlines in October when he left a $10,000 tip at a North Carolina restaurant after ordering only two waters. The performer, known as Mr. Beast -- aka Jimmy -- told the server he and his friends were "going around blessing servers' days."
