Dec. 14 (UPI) -- An Australian woman pulled a tow truck carrying a car -- a total weight of 25,033.5 pounds -- to break a Guinness World Record.

Nardia Styles, a former runner turned competitive bodybuilder, was awarded the Guinness World Record for heaviest vehicle pulled over 100 feet (female), besting the previous record, set by Canadian Lia Grimanis in 2013, by more than 7,000 pounds.

Styles trained for her attempt with Derek Boyer, a personal trailer who holds several Guinness records and formerly held the record for heaviest vehicle pulled over 100 feet (male) in 2005.

"The training for the record was some of the hardest training I have ever done," Styles said.

The record attempt raised money for anti-violence charities the White Ribbon Foundation and Barnardos Australia.
