Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Morning commute traffic was snared on a Wisconsin highway when deputies worked to capture a cat running loose in the roadway. A Wisconsin Department of Transportation traffic camera captured video of deputies running after the cat on the Highway 172 bridge in Brown County. Advertisement Cars can be seen moving slowly around the deputies during the chase, which occurred during the morning commute hours Tuesday. The cat eventually ran underneath a deputy's car and out of sight. The deputy said the cat climbed to the vehicle's gearbox before being safely apprehended. The cat is currently being quarantined at the Humane Society while veterinarians work to determine whether it has any illnesses or injuries. Vehicles on Interstate 17 southbound in Phoenix faced a similar delay Monday when six dogs were spotted playing loose in traffic. Authorities managed to catch four of the dogs, while two others fled the scene.
