Snow cleared from overpass by plow breaks windshield

Nov. 27 (UPI) -- A Michigan man's dashboard camera was recording when snow flung from a highway overpass by a plow fell on his car and broke the windshield.

Kevin Hoffer posted a video to Facebook showing what happened at about 9:12 a.m. Monday on U.S. 131 near Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo.

The video shows a Kalamazoo County snowplow crossing an overpass just as Hoffer's vehicle approaches the structure, and the thick snow sent flying by the plow lands on Hoffer's car.

The impact shatters Hoffer's windshield.

Hoffer said he is working on finding out if the county's insurance company will cover the cost of replacing the glass.
