Confused deer runs through Pennsylvania Walmart store

Nov. 6 (UPI) -- A deer ran into a Walmart store in Pennsylvania and ended up locked inside the women's restroom, witnesses said.

Katelyn Broadt, 20, who captured video of the deer, said she first spotted the animal dashing across the parking lot of the store in Bethlehem Township about 6:45 p.m. Monday.

Broadt said the apparently confused deer was banging on the windows of the store and dashed inside when a manager came out and tried to chase it away.

Witnesses said the deer ran up and down the aisles of the store before ending up locked in the bathroom, where it was tranquilized and removed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Pennsylvania Game Commission officials said Tuesday morning they did not have information on the ultimate fate of the young buck.
