Fearless dog defends home from venomous snake

Nov. 5 (UPI) -- A South Australia woman shared security camera footage of her brave dog defending the family home from a potentially deadly eastern brown snake.

Teresa Barnden shared home security camera footage from her Truro home showing Chardy, a 9-year-old Shiba Inu, battling an eastern brown snake, known as one of the most venomous species in the world, in the house's front yard.

The video shows the dog and snake tussling all around the lawn of the home.

Barnden said Chardy, who won the battle, was treated with antivenom and is recovering from her injuries at home.
