Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A pair of black bears caused trouble for Manitoba utility workers when they chose the top of a power pole as the spot for their nap.

Manitoba Hydro tweeted photos Wednesday when workers discovered the two bears sleeping atop the police in Sundown, about 84 miles south of Manitoba.

The company said power to the lines near the bears was shut off to keep the animals safe while employees made a plan to get them down.

The company tweeted a photo of workers in a cherry picker attempting to coax the bears down from the pole. The tweet said the animals had safely returned to earth.

"Definitely not a call our line workers go to every day," Manitoba Hydro tweeted. "Let's hope these cubs learnt that hydro polls aren't the best place to snooze."
