Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A group of fishermen off the Australian coast shared video of the moment a great white shark swam up and stole their catch.

Daniel Medlin said he was fishing in Moonta Bay with his dad and a cousin off the coast of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia when a 10-foot shark swam up to their vessel.

"There was actually a pod of dolphins coming through, so it looked like a dolphin initially," Medlin told 7 News.

"Dad's like, 'is that a shark?' We looked over the side and boom, he was coming straight for the burley bag," he said.

The shark stole a freshly-caught squid from the fishermen.

"They're a beautiful animal, I have a lot of respect for them, they are the king of the ocean," he said of great white sharks.
