Bear wanders hallway at Vermont hotel

By
Ben Hooper

July 11 (UPI) -- A Vermont hotel manager shared video of a bear that wandered into the facility and took a stroll down a hallway.

Dean Romano, manager at the North Star Lodge in Killington, posted a video to Facebook showing the bear wandering the halls of the building about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Romano said the bear was inside the hotel for about five minutes before leaving on its own.

Killington police said bear sightings have been on the rise during the past couple years and property owners are being encouraged to make sure all food is secured and out of reach of the animals.
