Kangaroo interrupts soccer game in Australia

June 25 (UPI) -- A soccer came in the Australian capital was stopped for nearly 20 minutes when a kangaroo hopped onto the field.

The kangaroo made an appearance Sunday afternoon during the Women's Premier League match between Canberra FC and Belconnen United in Canberra.

Video from the incident shows the kangaroo hopping between players and jumping fences around the field. The kangaroo even takes a brief break to lay down between the goalposts.

Officials eventually drove an SUV onto the field to chase the kangaroo away.
