June 25 (UPI) -- Two women got out of their cars at a Florida intersection and were recorded helping an apparently lost alligator find its way across the road.

A video recorded Sunday by Catherine Kerr shows the two women escorting the alligator through the crosswalk of an Orlando road after spotting the reptile wandering loose in traffic.

"There still might be some hope for the world," Karr wrote on Facebook. "I just witnessed two women jump out of their cars at an intersection and stop traffic to help a lost alligator get back to the park."

She said the women did not appear to be traveling together.

"These women were both stopped at the light. They jumped out of their separate cars to direct traffic away from the alligator as they herded it back to Downey Park," Karr told WKMG-TV.
