June 21 (UPI) -- Burger chain McDonald's is celebrating Thursday's National Selfie Day by offering greasy-handed customers a "Frylus" to snap their selfies.

The fast food eatery announced customers at more than 2,000 U.S. locations will receive the fry-shaped stylus free with the purchase of a quarter pounder while supplies last Thursday.

The chain unveiled the "Frylus" in a YouTube film starring Instagrammer Kirby Jenner.

"Another frivolous, fry-based innovation from the makers of the Frork (a.k.a. us)," McDonald's said on the official Frylus website. "Literally the only solution for keeping your phone 100 percent fresh while enjoying our new 100 percent fresh beef Quarter Pounder burgers and taking a 100 percent fresh selfie. And it really works! Most of the time."

A list of participating locations is available at the website, Frylus.com.
