Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe June 11 (UPI) -- Firefighters in northern Michigan shared video from an unusual call where they helped rescue a black bear that stranded itself in a tree. The Roscommon Township Fire Department said in a Facebook post that crews were called Sunday morning to help the Michigan Department of Natural Resources with a bruin situation. Advertisement The department said firefighters responded to a tree in nearby Denton Township, where the bear was spotted in a high tree branch. The bear was tranquilized and firefighters helped lower the animal back down to the ground.
