Basking shark bumps boat off Northern Ireland

June 4 (UPI) -- A boat crew off the coast of Northern Island captured video of the moment a huge basking shark swam up to their boat and bumped the vessel.

The video, filmed near a group of Irish islands known as the Skerries, shows the shark open its mouth as it approaches the boat.

The shark, apparently curious about the large object, repeatedly bumps the boat as the crew looks on in awe.

"Can we keep him?" a crew member quips.
