Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe June 1 (UPI) -- A safari-goer in South Africa captured video of the moment a lizard about to become a lion's meal was unexpectedly saved by a brave buffalo. A video captured Sune Eloff near the Lower Sabie area of Kruger National Park shows a group of lions examining a water monitor lizard when one of the big cats carries the reptile off to make it into a meal for one. Advertisement The lizard appears to have little hope of survival until a buffalo suddenly charges the lion and uses its head to launch the predator into the air. The footage shows the lion flip three times in the air before landing and scurrying off.
