May 29 (UPI) -- A veteran cheese chaser set a new record during Britain's annual Cheese Rolling contest, which saw dozens of people tumbling down a hill.

The event, at Gloucestershire's Cooper's Hill, saw dozens of people tumbling down the hill on Monday to be the first to reach the 8-pound wheel of double Gloucester cheese that rolled down the hill in front of them.

Chis Anderson captured the first cheese wheel of the day and his final tally at the end of the Cheese Rolling event brought him to a total 22 cheese wheels captured in his 14 years of competing.

Anderson bested Stephen Gyde's previous record of 20 wins.

"I've got nothing to prove now, I'm happy," Anderson told the BBC.
