Raccoon outsmarts trap, steals sandwich

May 24 (UPI) -- A woman whose father put a sandwich into a trap-cage filmed a feisty raccoon outsmarting the mechanism and stealing the meal.

Colleen Weber said the raccoon, which her family dubbed Ricky, has been living outside her family's home for some time, and her father started putting sandwiches in a trap cage and leaving them on the deck.

Weber captured video of the trash panda outsmarting the cage and stealing the sandwich.

"This is Ricky, my dad leaves him sandwiches in this trap cage, and he always figures out how to open it and get the sandwiches out," Weber said.
