The Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable's Office posted a video to Facebook showing a man named Patrick in the water with a buck spotted struggling in Lake Conroe. Advertisement Lt. Timothy Cade with the constable's office said authorities were summoned to the lake just before noon on Sunday. "This is a normal call. There's deer in Lake Conroe all the time," Cade told KHOU-TV. Cade said it can be difficult for deer and other animals to get out of the lake because of retaining walls that protect the shore from erosion. Cade said Patrick's rescue was successful, but people should always use caution around wildlife, even deer. "They could kick you, cut you, hurt you. I mean, it would be a bad thing," he said.
