Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe May 8 (UPI) -- A California woman with a phobia of lizards came face to face with her fears when a lizard wandered into her office. Kerri Barnard said she arrived for work at a storage facility Monday morning in Sanger when a lizard darted through the door in front of her. Advertisement Security camera footage from the business shows Barnard jumping up onto a counter. "I felt like it was a dragon in here!" Barnard told KMPH-TV. She said she tried to avoid the lizard, but was concerned it would rush at her. "I stood there. And then it came back around the counter and it's looking at me. I did a run and jump on the counter, on my stomach," she said. Barnard said she tried calling out for help, but there was no one else around. "Nobody was around. The bus drivers are going in and out. My boss wasn't here. The maintenance guy wasn't here. I recorded myself calling out for help," she said. Barnard posted a video to social media pleading for help. "Somebody help me. somebody come to my office and get the lizard please! I'm gonna cry," she says in the video. "I have sandals on! I have sandals on!" Advertisement Barnard said on Facebook that the lizard left on its own after about 15 to 20 minutes. "I don't like lizards!" she said.
