Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe May 7 (UPI) -- Authorities in Michigan said police and firefighters captured a family of raccoons that fell through a home's ceiling into a human family's living room. The Albion Department of Public Safety posted a video to Facebook showing police officers and firefighters conducting the unusual rescue Friday at a home in Sheridan Township, just outside of Albion in Calhoun County. Advertisement Police said they arrived to find the mother raccoon and her babies had fallen through the ceiling into a living room chair. The mother raccoon, which managed to bite clean through a firefighter's protective glove, was captured with the use of a dog catch pole. The four babies were picked up by hand and placed in a plastic container. The raccoons, which were not injured, were released back into the wild.
