Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe May 3 (UPI) -- A Florida golfer captured video of a brave sandhill crane providing an intimidating escort to an alligator strolling across the course. Eric Drexler said in a Facebook post he was golfing at a course in Port Charlotte during the weekend when he spotted the alligator and its unusual escort walking across a fairway. Advertisement The video shows the alligator walking across the grass while the crane, with it's wings fully spread, walks sideways next to it. Drexler said the crane was shielding its family from the gator. "He was actually protecting his wife and baby," Drexler wrote. "That is one devoted dad."
