May 1 (UPI) -- The Indiana State Police said crews were called to clean up a stinky mess after a truck rolled over and spilled its load of agricultural fertilizer onto a highway.
The Indiana State Police's Jasper Post said the semi truck driver was not injured when the vehicle overturned in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 near the Ferdinand exit.
The ISP said the crash occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday and crews were summoned to clear the mess from the road.
The vehicle had been carrying about 8,000 pounds of fertilizer when it crashed, authorities said.
Both eastbound lanes of I-64 were closed for a cleanup operations Monday morning and the roadway was reopened by 10:20 a.m.
