High school girl sinks buzzer-beater basket from half court

March 5 (UPI) -- A Michigan high schooler's basketball skills are going viral after she sank a buzzer-beater from half court to win a tie game.

A video recorded at the girl's district semi-final game between St. Joseph High School and Lakeshore High School in Mattawan, Michigan, shows the final seconds of the game, when the score was tied at 31-31.

A St. Joseph player attempts to score a winning basket, but instead leads to a turnover that put the ball into the hands of Lakeshore player Cassie Pallet.

Pallet fires off a shot from half-court at the last moment and the ball sinks through the hoop as the buzzer sounds, causing the crowd to erupt with excitement.
