March 1 (UPI) -- Famed daredevil Nik Wallenda pulled off a difficult stunt by taking a 230-foot high wire suspended between two buildings at National Harbor in Maryland.

Wallenda, balance bar in hand, walked across the thin cable Wednesday morning after it was suspended 75 feet in the air between two buildings.

The daredevil appeared to stumble toward the end of his four-minute stunt, but he took a knee and declared, "Just kidding."

The stunt was a kick-off event for the Big Apple Circus, which opens March 8 at the National Harbor and runs through April 1.

Wallenda previously made headlines when he because the first person to to cross the Grand Canyon on a high wire in 2013, one year after he did the same at Niagara Falls.
