Feb. 27 (UPI) -- A photographer taking drone video off the Florida coast captured the scary moment a surfer fell off his board and landed right on top of a swimming shark.

Jason Griffeth of Vero Beach posted a video to his Hydrophilik channel on YouTube showing the footage he recorded with his drone camera during the weekend in the Vero Beach area, near the Fort Pierce Inlet.

The video shows a surfer wipe out about 46 seconds into the clip and the man appears to land directly on top of a swimming shark.

Fortunately, the startled shark appears more interested in swimming away from the surfer than mounting a counter-attack.

Griffeth said the sharks he spotted from his drone appeared to be spinner sharks and blacktip sharks, which are drawn to Florida beaches each February as part of their seasonal migration.
