Deputies capture alligator hiding under SUV in parking lot

Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A Florida sheriff's office shared video of deputies using a catch pole to capture an alligator found hiding underneath an SUV in a supermarket parking lot.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office posted a video to Facebook showing Sgt. Mark Tuls and Deputy Lincoln Dilling capturing the 4-foot alligator found hiding under an SUV parked outside a Winn Dixie store.

The video shows the deputies using a catch pole to pull the alligator out from under the vehicle and tape its mouth shut before loading it into the back seat of a patrol cruiser.

"After a long and crazy busy day at the sheriff's office we're all out of witty captions," the Facebook post said.
