Couple catches cow eating letters from their mailbox

Feb. 7 (UPI) -- An Iowa woman captured video of her husband attempting to rescue their mail from a cow that wandered from a nearby lot to eat their letters.

Erin Hudson posted a video to Facebook showing the cow eating letters from the couple's mailbox in Afton while her husband runs out to try to rescue the mail.

The video shows the cow flee with a piece of mail as the man approaches.

"There are yearling heifers in a lot by our house," Hudson said. "Them getting out is almost a daily thing because they are young and just pulled from their mothers. But this is something I've never seen them do. After we got them away from it they didn't get put back in their pen right away so they went back to it at some point and knocked the whole mail box over and into the ditch. It was obviously very interesting to them."
