Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A woman attempted to bring a peacock onto a flight out of Newark International Airport but was told her bird couldn't fly.
Part of the incident was caught on video by fellow passenger Sherri Ross, who recorded the peacock-toting passenger taking her bird into the airport.
According to Fox News, the woman bought a separate ticket for the peacock, but United Airlines wouldn't let the bird board.
"This animal did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size," United said in a statement. "We explained this to the customers on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport."
