Jan. 29 (UPI) -- An Illinois high school freshman's skills are going viral after a buzzer-beater he lobbed from 80 feet made it into the net to win the game by one point.

Mike Ellis, basketball coach at Evanston Township High School, posted a video to YouTube showing freshman Blake Peters throwing the ball from more than halfway across the court at the final buzzer of Friday's game against Maine South.

The ball made it into the basket, earning Evanston a 45-44 win and causing the crowd to go wild.

Peters said he was among those shocked by his feat.

"I couldn't breathe," Peters recalled in an interview with the Chicago Tribune.

"That was one of the best moments of my life," the 15-year-old said. "I thought it might go in, but when it actually did, it was pretty cool. I remember blinking, I was on such an emotional high. I started running and all my teammates tackled me."
