Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A visitor to a Thailand beach captured video of a recycling-minded hermit crab using an unusual object for a shell -- a bottle cap.

The video, recorded earlier this month in Krabi, shows the hermit crab walking around wearing the bottle cap, which is still attached to the broken glass that used to be the bottle's neck, on its back.

The crab does not seem distressed or otherwise bothered by its unusual choice of shelter.

Hermit crabs are known to use unusual objects for shells, with one coconut crab -- a large species of hermit crab -- famously being photographed using a creepy doll's head for a shell in the Pitcairn Islands.
