Russian military releases cute puppy video for New Year's

Jan. 3 (UPI) -- The Russian Ministry of Defense usually releases a video on New Year's to show off their deadly weapons. But this year, they showed off their adorable puppies.

The video's title is Faithful Friends congratulate you on the coming New Year and the puppies come from the Russian military's Training Center for Service Dog Breeding No. 470.

According to Russia Beyond, the 470 is a school for dog trainers that has been in existence for several decades. It's also where the Russian military breeded the Black Terrier, sometimes known as "Stalin's Dog."

Approximately 3,000 dogs are trained for guard work and mine detection in the Russian Armed Forces, according to RT.
