Dec. 21 (UPI) -- A Florida woman said her cat is recovering after a crossbow bolt shot through her body somehow managed to miss all of her major organs.

Jane Morris said she found her 2-year-old calico cat, Reese, collapsed Sunday afternoon on the porch of her DeLand home with the arrow protruding from her neck and hind leg.

"The arrow missed all her major organs which is a miracle," Morris told WKMG-TV.

Morris rushed the cat to DeLand Animal Hospital, where veterinarians said it seemed like a clear case of intentional shooting.

"This kitty got really lucky," hospital director Stacy Clifton told the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Morris said she filed a police report, but no arrests have been made. She is offering a $200 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Clifton said Reese is recovering from her injuries, but her rear paw might need to be amputated if she does not regain use of the limb.
