Dad-to-be poses for maternity-style photos with fast food

Dec. 14 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts father-to-be surprised the mother of his child by posing for a series of maternity-style photos featuring fast food.

Nick Roberts of Peabody said he and his photographer friend, Stephen Cwiok, shot the photos secretly in May so he could present them to his girlfriend, Brianna Magee, at the gender reveal party for their baby.

Roberts said he filled up on fast food to give a boost to his dad bod look for the photos.

"When I eat a lot I have a strange talent where I can stick my stomach out really far and it looks like I'm pregnant," Roberts told People.com. "I told Stephen, 'Listen, we have to go to McDonald's so I can eat and it'll look like I'm more pregnant.'"

Roberts, who used the fast food as props in some of the photos, said it was hard to keep a straight face during the shoot.

"It was extremely difficult because we just kept laughing. Like, this is absolutely ridiculous," he told WHDH-TV.

Magee said she was surprised and amused when Roberts showed her the photos.

"I just kept flipping through the pictures and each one, I just started laughing harder and harder," she said.
