'Despicable' porch pirate uses Minion costume to avoid cameras

Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A Colorado homeowner's security camera captured a package thief on camera, but their identity was concealed by a Minion costume.

The Colorado Springs homeowner said her security camera was recording about 7:13 a.m. Thursday when a person dressed as a Minion from the Despicable Me film franchise walked up to her porch and stole a package.

The woman said the package, a Christmas gift for her daughter, had been delivered just a few minutes earlier by the U.S. Postal Service.

The Minion-masked suspect left the scene in a truck.
