Men rescue buck with leg impaled on fence in Texas

Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A group of Texas men came to the rescue of a buck that was stuck with one of its hind legs impaled on a fence.

A video filmed last week in Granbury shows the men gathering around the deer, which is hanging upside down with a hind leg impaled on the fence.

The men, noting the buck's leg was impaled all the way through but the fence appeared to miss the bone, are able to lift the deer off the spike.

The men discuss calling a game warden when the deer has trouble getting back to its feet, but the filmer said the animal was eventually able to stand and walked away from the scene.
