Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A California man who suspected his neighbor's dog of pooping in his driveway checked his home security camera and discovered the real culprit: an Amazon driver.
Nemy Bautista of Sacramento said he found a large piece of fecal matter at the end of his driveway when he arrived home about 3 p.m. Tuesday, so he checked his home security camera to see if it came from a neighbor's dog.
Bautista said he was shocked when he reviewed the video and discovered a delivery service driver contracted by Amazon had squatted behind the door of their Uhaul van and dropped the deuce.
"Amazon.com Why is your driver squatting in front of my house? Let me give you a hint... he/she is not tying their shows. I have it on video!" Bautista wrote on Facebook.
Bautista said a delivery service supervisor visited his home to apologize.
"He was in shock when we saw the size of 'it'" Bautista told KXTV. "He ended up scooping it up with a plastic bag, but didn't want to take it with him (it smelled really bad)."
An Amazon representative said the company contacted Bautista and the driver has been removed from their position as a delivery driver.
"This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service providers," the representative said, adding the company works "with a number of delivery services throughout the year."
The representative said Bautista was given an Amazon gift card for his troubles.
