Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A California shopping center was evacuated when a Goodwill employee found a grenade inside a box of donations. The Placentia Police Department said officers responded to the local Goodwill Thrift Store on Wednesday when employees reported finding a grenade in a box of donations dropped off by an elderly woman. Advertisement The Orange County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was summoned to the scene along with the Orange County Fire Authority and some precautionary ambulances. The shopping center was evacuated and the bomb squad was able to safely remove the grenade. The investigation is ongoing.
