Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A video drone flying over a Florida beach captured footage of a tiger shark passing within feet of apparently oblivious swimmers.

Kenny Melendez said he was taking scenic video Friday at South Beach in Miami Beach when he spotted the large tiger shark weaving through groups of swimmers.

Most of the swimmers appear not to notice the shark and go about their business as it passes within feet of them.

Bob Hueter, a shark expert with the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, said it was a concerning incident.

"Tiger sharks are more of a threat because they go after bigger things. Shark feed on other sharks, turtles, and dolphins. To see it among swimmers is definitely a little alarming," Hueter told WTSP-TV.
