'Blue Planet II' crew cornered on dock by aggressive sea lion

Nov. 29 (UPI) -- A video crew for BBC documentary series Blue Planet II found themselves cornered on a dock by an angry sea lion that wouldn't let them leave.

The behind-the-scenes footage, posted to YouTube by BBC Earth, shows a crew member named Joe attempting to get around the sea lion after a day of filming.

Joe's fellow crew members watch and laugh as the aggressive sea lion refuses to allow Joe to pass.

"We're stuck on the dock," Joe says. "I don't think we can get to the car just yet!"

A crew member suggests Joe strike a pose with his hands over his head to scare off the sea lion, but the gesture just causes the mammal to bark its disapproval and move toward the crew, causing Joe to flee backward.
